Tomato Ho Tze-lok
Description
Ho Tze-Lok joined the PSA Tour in 2015 and has become a consistent member of the world’s top 50 over recent years. She finished runner-up to compatriot Lee Ka-yi at the 2015 Macau Open and then runner-up at the Malaysian Squash Tour I the following year. More semi-final finishes followed and saw her rise up the world rankings and into the world’s top 50 for the first time in her career in 2016. She then claimed her maiden title at the Sandgate Open where she saw off compatriot Vanessa Chu to break her tour-title duck. Ho then faced Chu once more in the Perrier Challenge Cup when she beat her once again over three games to secure back-to-back titles. Her third win that year came at the City of Greater Bendigo International, where she beat compatriot Liu Tsz-ling. After a series of premature exits in the latter of half of the 2018-2019 campaign, she bounced back to win her first tournament of the new season, as she downed Sarah Cardwell in the final of the City of Greater Bendigo International. She also reached the second round at the World Championships in front of the Pyramids. Following the return of the tour in early 2021, she made the final of the Chairman Cup, along with a semi-final appearance at the Hong Kong Football Club PSA. After reaching the last 32 of both the World Championships 2020-2021 and the U.S. Open, Ho returned to the Challenger Tour and made the quarterfinals of the Capra Baerum Open. After a semi-final appearance at the London Open, she also made the last eight of the Malaysian Open Championships to breach the world’s top 40 for the first time in her career.
