The Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Open will be held from August 23 to 29 as the world’s top players return for one of the biggest annual sporting events in Hong Kong.

Once again, squash fans will be given a lavish treat with the opportunity of watching the thrilling performance of the top 30 players from the Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA) and the Professional Squash Association (PSA).

The early round matches will commence at Hong Kong Squash Centre in Admiralty before the tournament moves across the harbour to Diamond Hill in Kowloon for the semi-finals and finals, which will be held in a specially set-up, state-of-the-art glass court at Plaza Hollywood. Players will be given a brand new experience of performing their great skills in front of a big crowd who visits the shopping mall - one of the busiest in Hong Kong. People from all walks of life can also have the opportunity of watching the top class event when shopping there.

Presented by Hong Kong Squash, the week-long extravaganza offers a hefty total prize money of over HK$1.7 million for top men and women’s professionals as the Hong Kong event has been the first ever open tournament that stages competitions for both sex.
