Organized by Squash Association of Hong Kong, China, sole title-sponsored by Milwaukee, “Milwaukee Hong Kong Squash Open 2024” will be held for seven consecutive days starting tomorrow. A welcome reception was held this evening at the Hong Kong Football Club to greet the overseas and local players upon the main event.
Mr. David Mui, MH JP, the President of Squash Association of Hong Kong, China attended the ceremony along with the honorable guests including Mr. Stephan Horst Pudwill, Vice Chairman of Techtronic Industries Company Limited, Mr. Alex Gough, CEO of Professional Squash Association, Mr. John Wong and Mr. Cedric Tyen, Vice Chairman and Honorary Secretary of Squash Association of Hong Kong, China, and gold sponsors’ representatives also attended the event together with the players to give their supports and anticipation for the tournament.
The Professional Squash Association also took the opportunity to award the 'Hall of Fame' honors to two squash legends: Mr. Jansher Khan from Pakistan and Ms. Nicol David from Malaysia.
Round 1 and Round 2 will take place at the Hong Kong Squash Centre, with a glass court first set up at Edinburgh Place in front of the City Hall for Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Finals. The outdoor glass court will feature the iconic skyline of Victoria Harbour as a backdrop, promising a visual feast for fans. Stay tuned!
