The "Everbright Securities International Hong Kong Squash Open 2022” is going into final stage this weekend. Outside the court, Hong Kong Squash has organized a variety of activities for the public and designated groups to join at different places inside Hong Kong Park.
Squash Carnival will be held at the Olympic Square of Hong Kong Park from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm on 3 & 4 December. Squash-related interactive fun game booths will be set up, where you can experience the game of squash, challenge your limits, redeem your game booths prizes.
A Junior Development Clinic will be held at the Glass Court of the Hong Kong Park Sports Centre before the Women’s and Men’s finals on 4 December. The former Hong Kong Champion Max Lee will play an exhibition game with a world top player at the clinic. Moreover, the lucky juniors will have a chance to learn and play with the two top players at the glass court in front of the crowd.
Celebrity Match will follow the clinic to be on stage. Five guests including The Honorable Duncan Chiu, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash, Mr. Norman Chan Tak-lam GBS JP, the former Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Mr. Yeung Tak-keung, the former Commissioner for Sports, two LegCo members The Honorable Dennis Lam Shun-chiu, JP and The Honorable Dominic Lee Tsz-king, plus three former Hong Kong Team representatives, Mr. Max Lee, the silver medalist of the men's individual event and Miss Joey Chan, the gold medalist of the women's team event of the 2018 Asian Games, and Miss Liu Tsz-ling, the bronze medalist of the 2016 WSF Women's World Team Championships, will be divided into two teams for a friendly battle in a special playing format and scoring.
